_____________ ![]() BELIEVE it or not, the first Caldina was actually the station-wagon version of the 1992 Toyota Corona in Japan. Then Toyota shifted its target market from fishmongers and pasar malam traders to young fathers. The second generation model has its own unique design with one offered in Active Sports GT-T guise, complete with a 256hp 3S-GTE engine and AWD. That really turned heads. The third generation, which we have here, was launched in 2002 and production stopped in 2007. The GT-T really changed the Caldina name plate and Toyota has turned it into a full blown sports wagon.
