With the race exactly a month away, the 2008 Merdeka Millennium Endurance race (MME) has already secured a total of 47 entries and race promoters, Sepang International Circuit (SIC) is confident of a registration of more than 100 entries this year.
Comparing themselves as an Air Asia carrier in a field of high-profile airliners, Team Malkar Racing from Johor Bahru is entering the 2008 Merdeka Millennium Endurance (MME) with a firm belief that they can make a similar impact as the low cost carrier in the aviation industry.
London, Great Britain – Michelin is to become the
exclusive tyre partner to A1GP World Cup of Motorsport starting with the 2008/09
season. The French company which has a vast motorsport heritage has signed a
three year deal to provide tyres for the new A1GP Powered by Ferrari car.
Michelin tyre technicians have been working hard with the
A1GP technical personnel to provide the best possible rubber for the series.
Since the Powered by Ferrari car had its first run in Fiorano in late May it
has been using the company’s tyres and has clocked up over 4,000 kilometres
on tracks in Italy and Spain.
It was an action packed Round 7 of the Asian Touring Car
Series where current Championship leader, Jack Lemvard ended a perfect weekend
for Liqui Moly Team Engstler claiming the win and further extending his championship
lead.
At the start, the six leading drivers went into the turn
at almost the same time, with Man Ting Yu who started in pole, maintained his
lead out of the turn followed closely by Adrian Henry D’Silva, Eric Yeo,
Danny Stacy Chau, Harry Chai and Lemvard.
Proton Axle Racing team driver Faidzil Alang held off the charges of Indonesian rivals to claim the first win in ATCS 1500Max Challenge ever held at the Sentul International Circuit today. The Malaysian also created history as the first winner in the 1500Max Race Series to be held in the country.
