Engine installation completed for the Proton Saga BLM = "Boleh Letak Mivec" and is now running.Here are some updated photos taken yesterday ( 3rd July 2008 ).
This Proton Saga BLM "Boleh Letak Mivec" started its life with the CAMPRO 1.3 engine which was suddenly ended two weeks into its life due to its owner suicidal attempt 'merentasi air banjir'.The owner a "Cikgu", initially wanted to replace its broken Campro 1.3 engine with another Campro unit. However when he was quoted close to RM 15,000 for that not even 100hp powertrain he decided to get 175ps @ 7500 rpm in the form of 4G92 MIVEC derived from the 1999 Mitsubishi Lancer CK4A.
This is the new Proton SAGA. The SAGA we all known before as the Proton SAGA BLM. Best of all long before Pak Lah unveils the car tomorrow at 5.30 pm, we got it here on terato.com .
